Dr. Shrinivas S. Vaishya, Medical Superintendent of Vedantaa Institute of Medical Sciences, Vedantaa Hospital & Research center, born on 7th Jan 1947 at Mathura.He has worked in U.T. Administration of Daman & Diu in the capacity of Special Secretary (Health) and Director of Medical and Health Services.
He has passed his MBBS from Goa, (Bombay University) in the year 1973 and M.D. in PSM from Govt.Medical Collage, Surat (South Gujarat University). He has worked for 2 years and 6 months in Radiology Department and 6 months in Pediatrics Department in Goa Medical College. Panaji Goa. He has worked as a Medical officer from July’76 to November 87 in theHealth Department of U.T. Administration of Daman & Diu, as aHealth Officerfrom November’ 87 to September 92, as a Chief Medical officer, from September 92 to January 96, as a Director, Medical & Health Services, from January 96 to April 03 and as a Special secretary (Health) U.T.s of Daman & Diu and Nagar Haveli from April 03 to January 08.
He is a member of various renowned Organizationsincluding IMA, Indian Red Cross society, Daman, OIDC, Daman etc. He has been awarded by various nationalawards live, ‘Jansevasadbhavana Award 2004’, Individual Achievement for Economic and Social Development’ 2005 etc.
He has also served as a chairman andnodal officer of Various Govt. Programmers like AIDS, Leprosy, Malaria etc.
Due to his outstanding performance in the public health sector, he was awarded “PADMA SHRI” in the year 2012 by the Government of India.He is a member of Medical Council of India.
